April Update
How glad we are to see the season well underway, and in great weather conditions too. The course is in great condition to start the year, and thank you to all who have helped make it that way already.
As always, competitions are up and running, and the results so far are as follows:
Committee Day Flag Competition - Bill Roberts
Gents: April Medal - Simon Phillips
Major Gunn Trophy - Tony Woodward
4 Ball Better Ball - Tom Watson and Jon Don MacKenzie
Ladies: April Medal - Keira McFleat
Ladies Championship April leg - Keira McFleat
Congratulations to all the winners. I hear some gents handicaps have been savagely chopped…that'll teach you for practising!!!!!
We're sorry to lose the services of Finlay Matheson looking after the course this year, and would like to express our appreciation for his 15 years of loyal service to the club. Remember that members are invited to come and help by offering their services at any time of the day (or evening) that suits them on the first Monday of every month from April to October. A list of work will be posted on the noticeboard so that everyone knows what there is to do. Please come along and help if you can. Of course, if you can't manage Mondays, but are still keen to help, then please contact the secretary, or chairman for information.
As I write, we would still like to hear from interested parties to take over the catering service at the clubhouse. If you feel you would like to take up this opportunity, please call our Secretary Gerry Arscott for more information. (01599 577219)
As always, new members and visitors are very welcome! An honesty box system for green fees runs when the clubhouse is closed. Do sign the visitors book and give your comments.
