April 2007 at Lochcarron
The season started as is traditional with the Committee Day Flag Competition (end of March). This was won with the steadiest round of the day by Bart McFleat who was the only player who managed to complete all 18 holes!
The April medal was won by Murdo "Stag" MacKenzie; the Pairs Championship Cup by Gus Murray and Murdo "Stag" MacKenzie; the Graham Trophy by Gus Murray; and the Greenkeeper's Trophy by Bart McFleat. I think the term is "Game On, Gentlemen!"
For the ladies, the season has started well although the poor weather and illness disrupted the pairs competition, resulting in its postponement to later in the year. The ladies results so far are as follows: the April medal and the Shieldaig Trophy have been won by Karen Starr...has she peaked too early?!?
As always, new members (both adults and juniors) and those who would like to join in any of the competitions or inter-club matches will be very welcome indeed. Just contact your respective Captain.
