August 2006 Newsletter
The August Medal (Saturday), was won by Gus Murray who went on to also win the Wednesday Medal as well to make it four in a row.
The 12th saw the visit by Gairloch Golf Club and resulted in a narrow win for the visitors. The home team being depleted by injury and absence but putting up a strong challenge.
Over two weekends the Arthur Treherne (Stableford) Competition was played and was very closely contested. After round One the leader was Angus MacKenzie with 38 pts, closely followed by Findlay Matheson on 36 pts. Unfortunately, Angus was unable to contest the second round and it was left to Findlay to put in another good round to take the trophy.
On the Ladies front Keira McFleat won the Monthly Medal, and on the 19th Karen and Keira travelled to the Ness Motors Ladies Open at Inverness Golf Club with Karen 2nd in the Silver Section and Keira 2nd in the Bronze Section. Many congratulations to both.
